    Default Network Utilization

Just a quick question, when I open Task Manager and look at networking, should the internet connection I am ...well, connected to, read as having 0% network utilization? If so, then that's alright I guess, if not...any suggestions/ideas on how to fix this?

Yes, that's normal for most users. Your network card can go a lot faster (usually 100mb/1gb) than the connection speed you pay for. Basically your connection to the internet is not using your network card to anything close to it's limits.

If on the otherhand you have a 100mb connection to the net and you're downloading stuff at full speed, then results like that mean windows is to be ignored.

Simple test: If you're getting what you're paying for then nothing is wrong

The value will only change while data is being transfered from uploads or downloads and as said above the network card typically installed greatly exceeds the speed of the net connection possessed. E.g 10mbps will only display a utalisation of 1% on my 1gb network connection.
