Crashing after battles?

I can't seem to locate any specific solution to this. The only time I ever encounter a CTD is after I have fought a battle and the game is transitioning back to the campaign map. It is really irritating when I just fought a decisive battle only to have all that go down the crapper when the game crashes and no way to save (WHY is there no option to save during a battle? so asinine on the original designers part) Other than this the game runs smoothly. I do not get this problem during every battle (only during the important ones it seems...oddly enough). Some help, please

I have this sometimes too, my solution was to wait a little while on the results screen before continuing, let the game process the results etc, it seemed to work i havnt had one since.

I will give that a try, thanks for the suggestion. Hopefully it works! I have no other issues save this one.
