    Default Total system crash

So, I was reccomended to come here with this. I'm in the middle of battle in M2TW Kingdoms 1.05 and all of the sudden all connection between the monitor and computer is cut and the computer no longer responds to any commands or buttons pushed. The monitor says "No signal input". I have to hardwire shutdown the computer.

Have you checked for any loose cables? I've fallen for that a number of times over the years.

After you get the "No Signal Input" message on your monitor are the lights on the computer itself still on? Like the harddrive light or any other case lights?

all the lights are still on, the monitor power light turns yellow indicating the monitor doesn't know a CPU is present.

    lol, no

Just means your monitor went to standby since it isn't receiving any signal.

This leads me to believe the computer is still on but like _Elysium_ suggested the connection between the monitor and system got severed somehow. Have you tried his suggestion - check your cable connection?

It's strange for it to happen right in the middle of a game though. Do you have a corded mouse? Could your mouse cable somehow have pulled the monitor cable out? You do have the cable screwed into the back - right?

Just to be sure - are we talking tower case or laptop? If laptop then a very different scenario.

And lastly, after rebooting the system, did you get the system to work again? Could you play Kingdoms? Please let us know. Good luck!

The whole computer becomes parylized. No response from the keyboard or the computer's power button. There's no problem with loose cables. It's a desktop PC. wireless mouse. the problem persists even after rebooting.

New symptom then. Have you ever opened the case and cleaned out all the dust bunnies? Do you know how to check system temps?

What I've highlighted I don't like at all. How old is that system? Self build or ordered from a shop?

EDIT:I assume you've tried to run it in Safe Mode? What were the results?

in safe mode, the internet and therefore steam is disabled, so I wouldn't be able to test it in safe mode. I know the temperature and dust isnt the issue, I cleaned it recently, the system is only 3 years old.

What OS are you running? At least with Vista/Win7 you can run Safe Mode with internet support. You'll just have to remember to lower your game resolution to 800x640 if you want to test the game.

But mostly I want you to go into Safe Mode just to see if you can do anything at all. I'm pretty sure Steam didn't cause this problem. Although with them one can never be sure. Good luck!

It sounds like your graphics card simply stops working.
    So:
    Reinstall drivers.
Lowest settings for the game's graphics.
    Disable any background software.
    Still got problems?
