    Default End turn CTD

First of all, many thanks for the developers of TATW (and MOS) for the great job!

I posted my question in MOS thread, too, but I thought, since this is essientially stability issue, to post it in here, too.

I have a wee technical problem with my MOS campaign: At this one particular moment in my campaign, I press "End turn". When it is Gondor's turn, the game focuses on Dol Amroth. Gondor separates army from the city garrison and attacks Harad army next to the city. And then I got CTD. "Third age (or Medieval, can't remember for sure) encountered unexpected error and will now exit" (or something like that) is the message I get. This has happened now a dozen of times when I have loaded the game and tried to end the turn.

I have played quite a few campaigns with both vanilla TATW and MOS with no major problems, and I have had CTDs very, very rarely. I have followed Germanicu5's instructions for preventing stability issues (I have Windows 7) and they have worked well to this point. (Turned off the advisor - check; turned off the UAC - check; run as administrator - check etc. Only thing I have NOT done is turning autosaving off - I don't know how.) I have not made any changes in the files or my software or hardware for that matter. Vanilla works fine, just as MOS has done to this point.

More info: I play Eriador (converted to Arnor) on M/VH, there are maybe about 150 turns left. Gondor has only Dol Amroth, Lond Galen and Andrast left, and always-nice Sauron has declared invasion against Dol Amroth, but the Harad army Gondor attacks when the CTD occurs is not an invasion army. I have a spy next to the city so I see that the Gondor general is their Steward, the faction leader. Could this have something to do with the CTD? It came to my mind that Gondor might get destroyed during this AI turn because they have only three provinces left and their leader goes so boldly to battle. If Gondor gets destroyed, is it a problem to Arnor - gamewise - because the "Arnor conditions" are now gone?

Thanks for the help! I am aware that there have been same kind of problems (with MOS) with some "invisible" Silvan generals but I think this is something else. My vanilla TATW works like a dream (just like MOS until this point).

PS. If someone asks me to post logs, please tell me how...

Well MOS uses corsair invasions aswell.. might be that you have a corsair army attacking Dol Amroth (that is scripted i believe) i don't know how that would inflict on a crusade.. but i think there lies your problem

don't know but maybe there is a spawn army cheat or something? so that you can just wipe that corsair army of the map.. and get on with thinks..

i don't know nothing about cheats except toggle_fow and show_cursorstat (which i use for modding stuff)

Thanks for the advice! Eventually I found the log and that revealed that the problem was caused by the "Elf Bodyguard Mount bug". I used the instructions to fix the problem (they can be found in page nn in the MOS thread, thanks for the member who found the solution!) and now my campaign is running smoothly again! Hopefully the Elf Bodyguard Mount bug is fixed in the 6.0....

PS. I had the Corsair invasions turned off, I wanted Gondor to hold on a little longer...
