The authorities should restrain these demonstrators, but I doubt they will. Seems clear that this is a result of the French and US ambassadors visit to Hama.

The authorities should better restrain their armies first. That the ambassadors visited Hama doesn't mean the Syrians have the right to attack foreign soil (like embassies are) and I think that Assad have guaranteed the safety of the ambassadors.Originally Posted by Kralle18

I think its clear that the Syrian government will be overthrown. The only question is whether the new regime will support Iran or the West.

The new regime is pro western there is no doubt. It is clear that the revolting people have a debt to settle with Iran and their supporters.

No. It really depends on the amount of support that the west gives them. However, I have plenty of Syrian students here in my collage and all of them are obsessed with one thing, to revenge from Hezbollah and Iran.
