Default Stainless loyalty, or maybe not!

    Hi folks,

I recently started up a HRE late campaign and most of my generals have turned against me due to my Emperor have offended the nobility and many of my generals have traits such as "Feels Disrespected" and "Feels Dishonored".

What triggers this and how can you improve loyalty to your generals?

    Regards,
    Epzilon

Probably falling into debt or attacking with generals who are prohibited from attacking. It could also be caused by something like sacking a city when you're supposed to release all prisoners. The loyalty of your generals generally goes up by increasing your leader's authority and authority usually corresponds to your general's loyalty. So what came first: the chicken or the egg? Most likely the leader's authority.

I'm not in debt, however I got excommunicated by the Pope and perhaps the reason why all the generals are betraying me! I only have a few generals that are loyal to me and I can't afford attacking as I might lose them and become rebels.

Sounds like it's time for a new king.

Did you move alot of titles away from some of your generals? "Feels Dishonored" and "Feels Disrespected" often come from taking their titles away and giving to another general. Also alot of bad traits come about just from leaving your generals alone as governors. Which I think is a bit weird... better would be that your best generals are the ones that are most disloyal as they might actually have a chance to take the crown. The governors are the lazy or unambitious who rather enjoy their status than risk everything trying to get more.

Bad relations with Pope and breaking your word or ignoring repeatedly Nobles councils missions might also bring about some negative traits.
