Default my game wont start after changing some code

My game wont start after modding it

Ok I Changed the code in the game so that the game wont end untill after 9000 years instead of the default time.

I changed all the unit build times to 0 turns.

I changed all of the build times for buildings to 1 turns.

I tested the game after i changed the Imperial campaign time lenght and I loaded my old save and no changes, then i started a new game and my change had taken affect.

I exited the game and changed the build times for buildings and units, I then tryed to start the game again
and it now starts and shows the default start screen mentining sega ect and then it crashs and says it cant execute. you know , that it can't start, Have i corrputed it and if so is there a fix that does not involve reinstalling it ?

I deleted all my saved game files and tryed to restrat it and still no luck.

I'm messing around to see what aspects of the game I can change so I have a better idea of how it all works for when I want to make some serious mods for it possibley.

Did you make backups of the files you changed?
Did you add -show_err to the command line in the shortcut?
