Icon5 Sod it, I've lost me Guild

I had a Knights of Santiago Guild at Valencia but then decided to convert it to a city. Realising I wouldn't be able to recruit other high-level units in the same settlement, I destroyed the guild, thinking the game would give me the chance to build another one in one of my existing castles. However, this hasn't come about, and it's been nigh-on 100 turns since I demolished the original KoS Guild.

Anyone know if I'll eventually get the chance to build another, or if possible, is there a cheat I could use to build one myself? I don't normally cheat but don't want to miss out on recruiting those knights, as they look awesome.

well have you joined a crusade after converting Valencia to city :? If you didn't try going to a crusade and possible you will be able to build the guild somewhere

I“m relatively sure you CAN have a Knights of Santiago guild in a city - rather than destroying it, perhaps you should have just converted and seen for yourself...

If it“s been such a long time without any new KoS guild offers, that means they“re really pissed at you...
What you need to do is, start a crusade and send three armies to participate in it.
Make for the crusade target as quickly as possible, besiege it, and the turn before you are going to attack, you send every FM you have outside their respective settlement. Recruit mercenaries until each has 7 units (otherwise they can“t join) and have all of them join the crusade at the same time.
The next turn, the first thing you do is take the crusade target - such a grand participation grants you hundreds of points with the Knightly guilds, and a guild house offer should be imminent afterwards. If not, do it all over again.

The guild system works as a 'points' system, meaning that every single action you take on the campaign map (And sometimes the battlefield) adds points toward that guild, and once you reach a certain capacity you are allowed to construct a guild (Then it's improvement, and later on the headquarters). Demolishing a guild decreases your points drastically, that was a mistake on your part but we learn from just those. I suggest going on a crusading spree and killing a lot of Muslims, that'll help.

By destroying the guild, you gain -100 points in that settlement, and -20 in all other settlements. This means that destroying the guild makes it especially difficult to build it again in the same settlement, and slightly more difficult to build it in a different settlement.

    To build a guild:

    Basic Guild: 100 points
    Masters Guild: 250 points
    Guild HQ: 500 points

To Gain Crusader Knight’s Guild Points:
General joins crusade: +25 all settlements
General abandons crusade: -25 all settlements
Recruit Specialist Knight: +10 settlement, +1 others (knight type tied to guild type)
Governor Chivalry >4: +5 settlement (per turn)
Normalization: -1 point per turn normalisation factor which kicks in after turn 25

PS. The reason why it's so easy to get the guild in Valencia is because it is initially ruled by rebel general El Cid (who has over 4 chivalry). So if you let El Cid maintain the settlement for about 20 turns, and you take it, you get the guild.

Crusader knights can be built in cities. When playing as Spain, I had a KoS guild in Jerusalem to produce more cavalry to fight the Mongols/Timurids.

I see what you all mean. A bit silly on my part to destroy it but if I crusade like hell I should get it back. Right, I'll do that.....thanks for the tips!

Basically. If you're on turn 150, that means you have to get 100 (basic guild) + 20 (guild destruction) + 125 (turns normalization factor) = 245 points. So that means sending about 10 generals on a crusade should do it.

My preferred method, though is simply putting high chiv generals in cities/castles.
