    Default divine wind problem

I recently aquired the DW expansion for EU3 from steam and now I can't get into my saved games. I used to be able to but the game would freeze the first time (I would ctrl alt delete out) and then it would work although laggy once the list of saved games popped up. Now the game just always freezes when I try to get to saved games, does anyone know how I can fix this without reinstalling? I already tried to verify the cache or whatever but it told me all my files were fine, and I'm not sure if there is anything else I can do.

I used to get that problem a bit. It didn't crash completely, but it would take up to a minute to load the list. Go to your saves folder, and delete any saves you aren't using. That should speed it up, although it would help to delete the largest save file.

Did you patch it to the latest version?
If not it might be that the save games are too big, and you have patch/tweak it yourself.

I did do that since i had some old ones that were like 30,000 bytes and the average is like 10k, although I usually don't wait too long. The only problem I think is that when i do ctrl alt delete out, it tells me the program is no longer responding.

and I have it set to auto update since it's on steam, although since steam is so slow at getting paradox games I wonder if that means patches too?

Perhaps, the the saves are corrupted? Can you play a new game ?

deleting games kind of worked, I noticed it loaded faster except now I have less saved games then before i got DW yet the game still freezes. I could jsut delete all games from before DW but I don't think that will actually solve the problem.

And yes I can play new games, It's just when i click the "saved games" tab the thing freezes. Before it was just laggy, and I could still play.
