Has anybody read Lies of Locke Lamora?

I picked up Scott Lynch's first book for something like 3 dollars on the bargain table at a local bookstore...
I must say, it's one of the better 3 dollars I've ever spent. Seriously good book - about thieves in a pseudo-renaissance world. The sequel Red Seas Under Red Skies was also fantastic.
But I don't want to reveal too much of either plot until someone else who's read it posts.

Also, any news on when Republic of Thieves is coming out? I heard it was supposed to be out in January?
