I'd agree with you here, Return of the Jedi is the best.

Each movie has it's own great aspects.
Episode one is a great start off to the trilogy
Attack of the clones introduced alot of new graphic stuff
Revenge of the Sith had the best special effects (didn't win any oscars though ) and was an excellent tie off from the last three movies to the first

A New Hope is the best introdution to the trilogy. When it first came out it blew everyone away!
Empire strikes back was a huge plot turner (Luke and Vader family stuff! )
And the Return of the Jedi was the best endign to a trilogy that I have ever seen.

All in all I think A new hope is the best because it is, in my opinion, the most original movie ever made.

    *spoilers*

Return of the Jedi is my favorite as well. It has all the forces in it leading up to the final battle outside the Death Star and on the Endor Moon, and it has plenty of action. I like the part where everybody is celebrating at the end and Darth Vader appears flanked by Yoda and Obi-Wan as his true form as an adult. Oh, and it has the Ewoks, those sneaky little bastards.

You really don't need to say spoilers! Everyone has already seen at least the first three movies made! The worst movie is the Attack of the clones. Too much takign and there is really only one major battle seen at the end.

The best must be Empire Strikes Back.

The worst would be Revenge of the Shi... Sith. Plot holes, poor acting and immense lack of continuity. The total opposite of ESB.

voted for episode IV, though empire strikes back is pretty close, and despite what hardcore fans..30 year old virgins..will say, I liked Revenge of the Sith. Ya there were some pretty corny lines (nooooooo!!!!), but overall I though it was a decent flick.

no line is as corny as
obi wan- "Anakin, Senator Palpatine is evil!"
anakin - "Well from my point of view the Jedi are evil!"

That is the best line of the entire movie, in my opinion.

My favorite is the Empire Strikes Back, followed by Revenge of the Sith.

it wasnt so much a practical issue i had, more of a matter of principle
about how george severely tampered with his classic films

I don't care.. It was need! Otherwise people wouldn't know how the hell that guy was other than he must have been Anakin.. But yes in some way it really does seem weird to have Hayden C... And the should have found some one who looked alot more like that guy.. Good change that the guy would have been far better than Hayden C!... But that is the reason - no matter how lame it is!

Lol say all you want but nothing beats the Darth Maul duel at the end of ep. 1. That alone makes it the best SW for me. Ok at least the most enjoyable.

I'd go with the TESB. Good movie all around, and it wasn't directed by George Lucas.

My favorite and most memorable Star Wars movie is "The Empire Strikes Back". That scene where Darth Vader tells Luke that he's his father is just unforgettable.

Yes it is one of the most memorable cinematic moments in history but so many TV shows and movies have attempted to mock it...
