BGR IV - can I use only part of it?

As the title says - is there any way to use only certain features of BGR IV? I love everything apart of Recruitment Authorisation bit - I know it is meant to add realism but frankly, its annoying when you build up high tier buildings and still cant recruit decent units because you cant get proper generals of because your King says so...Is there any way to disable that option?

Try BGR II? I'm not sure the exact differences. And sometimes you're unable to recruit certain units because of Real Recruitment limitations. Although...I'm thinking recruitment authorization is in both versions of BGR.

a bit ago i was at the same point u are now, getting pissed off. what do i have fortresses for when i can't recruit, a stupid enemy priest or heretic and religion drops below 90% now my wc can't recruit too.

but theres an easy way around those annoying limitations. the key being "retraining units". u can retrain half strengh of a unit in any castle that has the appropriate buildings regardless of zeal or WC. basically i just leave those those half strengh units in fortresses i capture and have em rejoin later. furthermore get a junior WC give him the training staff and let him hold an important castle he keeps units pools full so its perfect for retraining which doesn't take his recruitment limit away.

currently i got both my heir and FL on seperate campaigns taking over the world, while the junior WC is used as retraining center for almost depleted units. the rest gets retrained on the campaign andmy other WC supplies me with new units.
using a

load of assassins to kill of all priests or other agents i come accross is basics for keep up high zeal in every province.

so far this worked wonders and my military strengh gonna overtake mongols in 2 or 3 turns

I think Dziupski means the whole recruitment part when he says Recruitment Authorisation. If that is the case go to Byg's Grim Reality thread and scroll down to Optional BGRIV Feudal Only Code Change (just Ctrl+F and paste it in to find it) and follow the instructions. This will make it so that all generals can recruit and all can lead armies to battle. Real Recruitment and Zeal will still be in effect, but you will not be restricted by being the largest faction.
