Wich graphical card is better?

Hello and goodday.

Yesterday a friend of mine's computer broke, he gave me his graphic card a cousin of me is updating his computer, it would be a cool present for him to give me this Nvidia GeForce 9600gt, but I still got my old (bought a better one) intel(r) chipset G43/45 laying in the basement.

My cousin plays; MT2W and Empire total war, and maybe some games like that, now my question is; wich graphic card is better, the 9600 or the G45?

I don't have any background information on that chipset, but 9 times out of 10 a dedicated card is better than a chipset.

The 9600GT will play Medieval2 and Empire IF it has the minimum amount of dedicated graphics memory listed in the specs. I would not hold my breath on the chipset. Download the demos and try them first. Best way to find out.

Like they said, it certainly is not a great card, in fact, it barely qualifies as decent, but it is much better than any chipset.

yea only the newest AMD APUs aka the new socket FM1 cpus with there new IGP are better then the 9600gt basicaly any chipset GPU on the motherboard will be inferior to a discrete gpu.

so yes 9600gt is better its around 200-250% faster just a guess but the old school socket 775 IGP wasnt even capable enough to run old school games lol it cant even run Free 2 Play mmos. so yea stick the 9600gt in there for a decent entry lvl gaming rig, and i mean entry lvl.
