Technical Problems With Mod Instillation

I have installed the mod into a vanilla clean folder of rtw, this folder is not in the c drive. However when i start the game and press play i get these three messages:

"You don’t have roma surrectum installed in the correct folder"
"RomeTW.exe- mod: play_rome-show_err-nm-movie_cam"
"Engine: Rometw.exe, Faction Campaign - Mod: play_rome"

I have no clue what the bottom two errors even mean. So any help would be greatly appreciated

Could you please post a screenshot of your RS folder?

Ok, you installed it wrong.

You created a RSII folder inside the RTW folder, right?
What you need to do, is to cut (copy... ctrl+x) all the files inside your current RS folder, and paste them in the parent directory (the RTW folder).
The level of files you show me here should be with the game exe.

Ok thanks for the help.

What i did was copy the whole folder into the RS directory not all of the files. Does this mean that i have to unistall RTW and re install it again?

No, just remove the RS folder, and copy the files inside the RS folder rather the whole folder itself.

I see so after i have copyed the files do i run the installer as usual and selected the RTW folder with the RS files inside it ?

You did not install directly from what I saw; so you have somewhere a folder with all the RS files.
Open it, and once you see all the play_*** folders and the rest, copy it all.
Go to the RTW folder you have for RS, and paste what you've just copied inside it, where the RomeTW.exe file is.

Sorry im confused now

First time modding anything so im a bit overwhelmed

I have two folders that i have made for the mod: i have a folder containing the RS files (the screenshot is attachment one) and a folder containing all of the Rome total war files (attachment 2).

What do i need to do from here?

Ok, I'm sorry I'm not really clear.

You have your RTW folder without any mod for now; I'll call that the RTW folder.
You have the files for the installation. (the six files)

Using the files for the installation, install the mod in a folder like C:\RS.
Inside the C:\RS folder you should have plenty of files. Copy them all.

Now go to your RTW folder, and open it.
You should see a data folder, several other folders, and a file called RomeTW.exe (plus some others).
Once you're here, paste what you copied.
You'll be asked if you want to merge folders, and overwrite files; always say yes.

And it should be finished.

Ok i have the RS2 files in a folder. However i just reinstalled rome total war so i can have the original rtw folder to merge the rs2 and rtw files together. However in the creative assembely folder the files in teh RTW folder are the same as the RS2. This is straight after a reinstall and i havent done anything to the RTW folder, so why are the RTW and the RTS files the same?
