RS2 Launcher not working
Hello,
First off I am a total newb (just joined today) not just at modding but also in forums. I enjoy RTW very much and have a strong interest in Ancient History. I have Downloaded and played with RTR, EB, and THS, and they have been quite simple in downloading and installing. I have just recently come across RS2 and think that it would be very cool, not only in gameplay but also since it seems to have an abundance of historical wealth. Anyways, to my point.. I have followed every step:
1. I have RTW v1.5 installed with BI v1.6
2. No Other mods are currently installed
3. I had downloaded all 6 parts to RS2
4. I had installed them into a copied RTW folder (outside of program filesx86)
5. I then ran the RS2 Setup program.exe and followed everything
6. The Launcher Icon was not present on my desktop, instead it was one of those blank application icons
7. when i tried to open it a pop up said something like this: "searching for roma surrectum II.exe"
I had watched a youtube tutorial video, and I noticed that in his RS2 Launcher file folder he had an extra file. It was the RS2 icon and it was like the shortcut to the launcher. I'm guessing it was the "Roma Surrectum II.exe"??
Thing is, I didn't have that, so I'm a little confused.
Can anybody please help and/or re-direct me to a thread that had this problem?? (I had checked the technical difficulties thread and nothing like my problem was there) any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
