2 standard, 1 optional if you install differently.

I thought SS 6.4 was 1TPY as standard unless you use meneth's sub-mod compilation which gives you 2TPY? Am i wrong? . I use MSC with SS 6.4 so...

I don't play 6.4, but I'm pretty sure the default is 1 TPY.

I can give you some links that tell you how to make it as many turns per year as you want (I think the maximum is 12). Or you can have 2 years per turn. Or 1.5.

sure k/t i need those links to alter the turns per year i mean how can you like march from rome to venice in like 2-3 years !? that is unrealistic!!!!!! (i don't want my awesome generals and adminstrators died out like in a few turns!!!) 4tpy its alright 6 might be even better and MUCH more realistic either they stay 1tpy and increase movement points dramatically or just make it 4 or 4tpy

yeah i seriously need that link

There's some information in the wiki too, but some of those threads also tell you about the problems with devastation and how to handle them.

Just be aware that this means you'll have to wait hundreds of turns before you start getting more than the basic units (if playing early campaign)

There are many factors you have to consider when doing this, like movement speed, unit pool respawn rate, building and training speeds and of course event dates. Otherwise it skews the balance a lot and you never get to see any better units.

It is better to get one of those premade, like the 12 TPY submod.
You can manually take all respawn rates and divide them by TPY and up building times by at least half the TPY if you are up to it.
