For all you comic book geeks something pretty rare is going on, two far reaching epic storylines going on at the SAME time by Marvel and DC. Im actually shocked and pleasantly surprised that both storylines have been going fantastic.

For those who dont know, Flashpoint is a storyarc where Reverse Flash causes a chain reaction of key points in DC's history going a different route. Ie the muggers shoot Bruce causing his father to become Batman and his mother to become someone else Superman doesnt land in fields but right in middle of Metropolis and is taken control over by US government. Wonder Woman leads amazon occupation of what remains of England, Aquaman has basically destroy all of western europe forming a new Atlantis (WW and Aquaman are at war). Its really great series and will lead up to massive DC reboot this fall.

Fear Itself is basically story of Odin's brother, older brother and hence rightful heir to the throne coming back. He feeds on the fear of people so he creatures hammers similiar to Thor's that possess their wielder with the spirits of his asgardian follows. Hulk, Thor, Juggernaut, Titania, Attuma, Sin all fall to this retaining their powers ontop of the hammer. They have basically destroyed Washington DC, Paris etc the heroes are just overwhelmed by sheer power of these guys plus Skadi. Odin's plan to defeat this is simply to destroy all mankind so Skadi cant feed on their fear

Anyway I definitely recommend both for people!

I'm into this comic book worlds shallowly but i don't like those " changes " or stories but i guess that's a matter of oppinion.

Generally i don't like DC and Marvel comic books since in the end " good guys " always win , so there isn't much of a point reading and buying them for years .
