Hopefully some of these tutorials will help you out.
How to create a new family member or general
How to edit generals/make new generals
    How to Create New Characters

Otherwise have a look in the history (ctr+H) of you browser and try to find the page again.

The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin. When all is orderly, he does not forget that disorder may come. Thus his person is not endangered, and his States and all their clans are preserved.

Couldn't you just send an army without a general to war and then the captain of that army, if he wins, can be adopted as a general into the family. That's how I get more generals

lol i could, actually i have been waiting for that to happen for a while, hasnt happened in ages, see im running BI my mate has my original copy on loan at moment. i guess it must not happen so often in BI. anyway, you can name your own general (only if you put name into three name files) and make him completely amazing.
