What's happend to the skirmish A.I. in 1.5 ?
It has become extremely stupid. They always run to the edge of the map, not matter from which side the enemy comes from. This results in extreme dumbness because skirmishers simply plunge themself into the enemy whever they come from the right side.

This really pisses me off because it is a sure way to lose you skirmishers
And ontoher thing is the stupidness whenever one man of a unit is fighting, they will stop running away and start fighting. Even when you manually order them to withdraw.

I am playing the SPQR mod, in which skirmishers are very usefull, but I think this is hardcoded A.I. so I've posted it here

Well, the only times I have to worry about skirmishers not running away while skirmish mode is on is when they are throwing their javelins as the enemy charges at them. They won't run away, and they end up engaging in combat. That's why I tend to keep them behind my main line of infantry as sort of suppresion units.

same here it happened to me i was trying my archers with theenemy to help my general yet they were braindead lol and he was a good general damn u gaul and roman archers
