Installed with Steam but no start up

Hello everyone,

Basically, the problem is that I installed the game, put in the launch code, followed all the instructions (Copied the files to a new folder, uninstalled the game before downloading the mod, etc), but now the game simply doesn't work. When I click play on steam, it goes to Rome Total War the regular version, featuring traces of RSI, which I uninstalled the game before hand so that really confuses me.

Any suggestions?

Could you please provide a screenshot of your RSII folder.
Something probably went wrong during the install.

Ok, you didn't install it correctly.
Just copy (ctrl + x) the content of the RSII folder and paste it in the parent folder.

In the parent folder, are you referring to the Rome Gold Folder itself? Because I tried that, but then the game wouldn't even start up whatsoever, not even to the main menu. Any other suggestions would be appreciated, this mod looks so amazing.

Yes, to the gold folder itself.

And where was the problem? Did you used the launcher and it did nothing?

Yes, I clicked play on Steam and it went to the regular Roman Total War logo before the main and then crashed to desktop.

Just a crash to desktop. Though this last time, via the launcher, not Steam, I got to main menu, but then it crashed when I clicked "Imperial Campaign". The weird thing was that there was no Roma Surrectum II stuff, but there was a "Provincial Campaign" like from 1, though it didn't work either. I deleted all local content, I uninstalled\reinstalled the game before going onto Roma Surrectum 2, so I have no idea what that's still doing there.
