Is this laptop worth the money?

I've been looking around for a laptop for University that can handle some gaming for a decent price, talk about needle in a haystack. I'm English if that makes any difference (are prices cheaper across the Atlantic?

)

Anyway this laptop is on offer but it's second hand (a friend) although it has barely been used at all - and hasn't been used for gaming.

It's got 210 days left of its warranty and the following specs:

Dell Inspiron:

2.53Ghz i3 processor, ATI HD 5650M, 4Gb DDR3 Ram, 1.3MP Webcam, Mic, Bluetooth, Multicard reader, Dual Layer DvD Burner, WiFi built-in.

Casing is in excellent condition.

The price is £450 (720.32 dollars according to Google's currency converter, just thought I would mention it for anyone American reading this

) So is this laptop worth that much?

Cheapest laptop there is £730!

Not really aiming to go over £450-470

i just got a laptop with windows 7, i5 processor and 6GB of ram from Argos, it was £650 reduced to £499 or something like that.

much of the associated cost of that unit will be the gpu, do you plan on using it for any sort of gaming? If not you can get something just as good for about £50-£100 less, new.

Yes, a lot of gaming. I know it plays the latest TW games so I'm happy with that.

EDIT: Looking around, still cannot find anything within price range that beats the laptop shown here.

How well would this run M2TW? (Hehe can the experts still work with that [demanding] relic of a game

err it wont run it great nor good. the cpu is weak and the gpu too.
