Help!!! The whole of Europe is at War with Me and Can not make a Ceasefire!

Just wanted to start off by saying that I really enjoy the medieval total war 2 but the game really does get on my nerves and I am getting frustrated with some game concepts. My main problems are

1: I keep getting people declaring war on me
2. I cannot stop these wars-even if I use diplomacy and offer them 17,000 florins, tribute of 1000 florins for 20 turns and offer them one of my cities and its only turn 50.

I thought 1.2 patch was supposed to limit factions pointlessly attacking you.

I currently playing a France game on Hard setting and its turn 50 and I am currently at war with England, The Holy Roman Empire, Milan, Portugal, Demark and The Moors. I have not started one war or attacked any1 myself before they sneak attacked me. Try as I might I cannot get any of them to make a ceasefire- even if I offer them all the gold in the world.

I had an alliance with Holy Roman Empire in turn 10 as I got my Faction Heir to marry a German Princess- but they just attacked me for no reason and then allied themselves to Milan who declared war on me two turns later. Basically my early game was war with German and Milan vs me with no way to stop the war.
Now its turn 50 and I have just destroyed Milan but- England, The Holy Roman Empire,Portugal, Demark and The Moors are all Allied together and at war with me and I cannot stop the First World War lol- all countries against me. I am allied to hungry, Venice and Papal States, but I can not convince any of them to attack my enemies even if i offer them 20,000 florins- which is the point of an alliance. I am the richest strongest faction but no one wants to help or make a ceasefire even tho I defeat their armies and take their cities.
I am basically going to have to quit this game after about 9 hours play which is a shame because I cannot take on the whole world. It is annoying because I am number 1 in all areas Military, Finance, Production, population. I can not break up the alliance that has formed against me and every1 is an war with- if only had one or two enemies I would be fine.

I need guides/ advice on how to stop wars and people not to attack you in the first place.
I think this is a serious problem in Medieval Total War 2 and it’s very stressful. If you cannot stop wars what is the point in having ceasefire on the diplomacy screen.

Please could some1 point me in the right direction and maybe to a guide that help with making cease fires diplomacy and alliance building, particularly at the higher settings. Has any1 else had the same problem as me in having the whole world at war with you and no way to make peace?

Sorry for my moaning thread but it’s getting frustrating that an otherwise good gamer is spoilt by not being able to stop wars. No one should have to have a war with a faction for 150 turns lol

All I can say is really: prepare for battle and start a counter-invasion.
Total war is upon you, now you must set up better defences at your borders and prepare an army or two to invade and start conquering enemy lands.
Sorry if that´s not very specific...

Right what you need to do is focus on one enemy at a time. Choose an enemy that is isolated in their position (like England) and attack them till they are destroyed. Do not attack any other faction, just defend your towns and cities, don' worry too much if you lose a few. Once the first faction is destroyed move on to the next and so on and so forth. Keep trying to buy peace because hopefully one faction will accept.

Currently playing a new Poland's campaign

There is turn 111 (year 1300). I have conquered everything to the east and north of line (included):

Oslo - Arhus - Hamburg - Magdeburg - Breslau - Prague - Krakow - Halych - Kiev - Caffa - Sarkel

Including all these settlements. Russia is destroyed of course.

I also conquered:

Aleppo, Edessa, Baghdad and Mosul (in the Holy Lands),
Marrakesh, Timbuktu and Arguin (in western Africa),
London and Nottingham (in England)

And I only fought against Russia (destroying it), Denmark (after conquering their capital they asked for peace - I agreed) and HRE (war continues on).

I also fought against Egypt (crusade vs Antioch), Mongols (two battles for Aleppo), Moors (my "expedition" for gold and ivory) and England.

England (excommunicated) carried out a sea blockade of my port, starting war - so I asked the Pope to organize a crusade on London, he agreed.

Against HRE I keep three nearly stack (14 - 17 units) armies (in Hamburg, Magdeburg and Prague) - this halts their every attempt of conquest.

I have alliance with Sicily and Venice (they asked me for alliance - I didn't ask anyone) and good relations with Hungary and Denmark (their faction heirs asked me to kill their kings - and by completing these missions I improved my relations with these factions). I also have superb relations with the Pope.

France is also quite friendly - I have lucrative trade with them.

In order not to provoke Hungary, I decided not to conquer Iasi (Moldavia) province - which is usually conquered by Poland very early in the campaign. It worked pretty well! - I still have peace with Hungary (while normally Hungary attacks Poland sometimes even earlier than HRE and Russia!).

Besides - Hungary conquered Iasi only after few dozen turns - it was more interested in expansion vs Byzantines.

Soon entire England is going to be conquered...

I will spare Scotland... maybe.

am sorry but,you're going to offer 10000+ for peace so that in 2 turns they atack you with even more money?
i never had that problem,am playing Kingdoms grand campaign as England and Scotland,Wales and Ireland didn't atacked,nor crossed the border for 20+ turns(tough when i finally invaded scotland and ireland they had already gathered a really big force on the border).

There is literally no point in making peace in this game. It should be easy enough for you to take on every faction on your own, just try to concentrate on capturing their cities and not on destroying their armies. Check my AAR "The Spirit of the Blitz" to see how the game mechanics and the AI can be used to expand quickly and destroy enemy factions without facing their larger armies in the open field. Be bold, take the initiative.

If you are bored/need money, you can always take an army make sure to buy some catapults or something like that, go behind the enemy line, do not fight the enemy unnecesarily (hope I spelled that right). then take their cities and castles in one turn, you can do that because you have artillery with you so you don't have to build seige equipment. Once conquered sack and destroy every building (except the churches unless you want to anger god

) this give you alot of money and you criple the enemy, then just keep on doing this, you don't need to defend the newly conquered city, let the enemy counqor it or let it riot either way it is expenssive for the foe to take back the city with no buildings in it.
