    Default quick question about units and their availability

    hi, playing ss 6.3 with the ottomans. I rule 80% of the map, the year is 1380. When do the late units appear? And is there any submod or mini mod that gives you theese units a bit faster?

    Thank you, (and yes i searched a bit for a submod yesterday but i didnt find it =/ )

    Check the EDU to find out what units your faction gets, then the EDB to find out what event each unit requires, then descr_events to find out when those events happen.

    Use that. It's not up to date, but quite close. Check the units to see what events they need and when u get them.

    The differences are due to the website being for the RR/RC Compilation, not to being out of date. Considering the RR/RC Compilation uses the most recent version of RR/RC, it's you 6.4 people who are out of date! This whole forum is out of date! This whole country is out of date!

    When do the Kievan-Rus get Cossack musketeers? Its 1410 and I dont got any yet...plus demi-lancers also....

    Have you built an army barracks?

    Also, how is this related to the OP?

    yeah I have the army barracks in my huge cities but no gunpoweder units...do you know why

    Mounted Cossack Gunners are available around year 1500.
    Cossack Musketeers are available after Pike & Shot event, that is 1530.
    As CC already said you have to upgrade your barracks to army level.

    BTW, Demi Lancers are not available to Kievan Rus. You can see this unit in custom battle but it's not at your disposal in grand campaign.

    The reason you can't recruit them is because RR is at least weird thing. I mean I know it aims to be historical (damn, who needs this anyways... but I suppose some ppl like this, for no reasonal reason thougt) but the wait times are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long. I don't know how much you can play this game at once, but for most campaings I can bareley stand to year ~1300 (early campaing) by either getting bored because nothing except blitzkreig is happening or winning already, while some units are appearing about year 1540 (!).
    That thing would be OK if campaings were like in Medieval:Total War, so you could start like in wodden, stone and gunpowder periods of medieval (early, late and very late). But unfortunately they aren't so you have to do both : play super peaceful way (which is impossible in this game, where diplomacy AI is so f* up that AI factions will attack you with no real chances of victory and then they won't accept ceasefire unless they are like one-hit to be destroyed or get paid by you (!) to accept peace THEY should be paing for...) and be very patient.
    And disabling it is not a good idea, because this way you can top units too fast, especially with some factions (ie Byzantium who has large walls already in the beggining of game in Constantinople), and what's more important, AI will have them even faster because they have some really annoying population grownth bonus (their castles which have NO FARMS and NO CHAPELS and NO GOVERNOR and no other buildings that pump pop growth up tends to grow half way faster than mine, which have an good administrator and all buildings they can have... I ask wtf?) and then feudal units spam recruit begins...

    Yeah I made quide a post, I'm proud of my self Any advices what to do about this?

    Wait are you talkin for 6.4...because Mounted Cossack Gunners are not even on the roster list....itd be nice though cause Kievan missle calvary sucks past the 1220 era....

    u can also go to the submod section for this mod and get the mod that totally removes real recruitment, and with it u can also choose if u want the specific units for recruitment in certain areas... for example, im using it, and i get highlanders in norway territory XD
