I'll finish it in the next two weeks (and I'll continue working on the Birth of Rome).

Very good that you start such a project! I wish the the best!

I still recommend to remove the axemen, because those are more fiction and guess then fact. Unless archaeological/lingual evidence excists, then i will excuse my self and shut my mouth !

Look at Paeninsula Italica's Etruscans! They have axemen and they did use them.

Many meditarreanian units used the axe for ceremonial purposes, like the greeks.
Above all, if PI does something, is it immidiatly 100% historical?
    It is still quitly debated

If I'm not wrong, even in Hegemonia the etruscan faction has the axemen unit!

Almost every mod that has Etruscans, includes with them an axemen unit:
even in a respectable italian history magazine (Focus Storia) once talked about the Etruscans and they put an image of a battle between Etruscans and Romans and there were a few etruscan units that used axes.

I learned a lot of new things today in the tutorials section so now I'm officially starting to work on the other units.
I think I'll finish the units in a week, or maybe in less time.

    Preview 1

    Taras' troops:
Tαρας (or Tarentum in Latin) was a powerful αποικια (colony) of the city of Sparta. Because of its great origins, Ταρας had a very powerful army, originally formed by hoplites and then, after the reforms of Βασιλευς Φιλιππος of Μακεδονια and the arrival of the Επειροτικοι, adopted the φαλανξ μακεδονικα.
But the most famous tarentine troops are not οπλιται or φαλανγιται: the most famous are the Ιππεις Ταραντινοι, powerful skirmisher cavalry troops, good even in melee fights.

    Units:
    1) Tarentine Cavalry/Ιππεις Ταραντινοι (Hippeis Tarantinoi)
The Tarentine Cavalry is famous in all of the Mediterrean Sea for its skill with javelins and horses. They are used in mass by Pyrrhus army and are recruited by the Romans as auxillaries. They have a medium hoplite shield and a helmet as defense and three javelins to throw. They also have a short sword for melee. They can fight in melee fights without any problem. They are vulnerable to arrows and javelins.

    2) Tarentine Phalanx/Φαλανγιται Ταραντινοι (Phalangitai Tarantinoi)
These men are the pride of the tarentine infantry. They fight in the hellenistic phalanx style. They come only from the city of Ταρας, from the noble families that have spartan ancestors. This is the only tarentine unit not used in Επειρος' army. This unit unfortunately didn't last long: they were used from approximately 310 BC until 250 BC, because the city was annexed by the Romans and the city adopted the Roman manipular style.

Nice, but the pikemen are holding their shields in a wrong form.

No, I used the Royal Pikemen model and I think they fight like that. (I really don't remember).
