I've read countless tutorials on giving units screen names, along with dozens of pleas for help that were answered with more tutorials, but not a single one has worked for me. I've tried putting the .loc inside my mod pack, putting it in its own mod pack, saving it as a movie, patch, and even a mod. I've tried editing the patch_en.pack, the local_en.pack, I have the .loc loose in my data directory, I've tried exporting and importing the .loc as a TSV. I'm probably even forgetting several different attempts, but none of these have had any effect at all. After each failed attempt I load up the game to see (line infantry) spitting in my face and wanting me to smash my screen with a wrench. I thought for a while it could be the user.empire_script, I assumed, however, to load a patch it was simply patch example.pack; replacing mod.
Help would be appreciated as this is extremely frustrating.
