Default Question Regarding Rome then BI Installation

    Hi there

Currently I have Rome.exe installed on my computer and run RS on it. However, I have recently purchased Barbarian Invasion, and was wondering if I install BI can I simply change the exe I am using in the launcher and continue the campaign I have started using only Rome.exe? Or will I have to start a new game?

Also, this is slightly unrelated, but do you have to have the Rome disk AND the BI disk in your computer to use both exe's on RS or simply Rome?

    Thanks in advance

The best would be to create a clean and patched RTW + BI folder that will serve as a back up for any mod you want to use.
Then you copy/paste this folder, and reinstall RS in it. Copy/paste your saves, and I believe it will work with BI.

Once you've done that, simply select Bi from the launcher to start RS with BI.
You need the disc of the exe you're using, so if you want to use the BI exe, then insert the Bi disc, otherwise the RTW one.

One more quick question. When I install a clean copy, then copy and paste that folder and install RS in it, I can install any mod in the original vanilla folder and play RS through the other one?

Yes, though it is advised to keep one copy clean, just in case something goes wrong with one mod or another.

What I do is to keep one copy fully patched and functional that I never touch. All modfolders mod are installed in another copy, and I've copies for each non-foldered mod.
That way, if I want to play with a mod, or an install goes wrong, I just need to copy/paste the clean copy without having to re-install everything.
