    Default Which version of SPQR

Was it that had those huge unit sizes of 240 men in them, i can't seem to find any changelog of it anywhere. I recall back when i tried SPQR a couple of times around the time that EB was released. The battles used to be enourmous whereas now it's back to standard size. I'm just wondering because i thought i'd give the old one another shot after i tried out this newer version.

This is the size the units will be on 'huge' unit sizes in the newest version. If you are thinking of them being bigger than this then I can't help you.

Thanks for the reply, but nope. That's the size im running with at the moment, the Hastatis and Principes used to be around 242 or something like that way back somewhere. Unfortuneatly i lost the stuff with a crashed harddrive a long time ago :/

Romans only have like 163 men in there cohorts with the exception of the first cohort. But almost all enemy units have 240 men in them.

Yep as it always been in RTW to my memory, but wasen't there an SPQR version that had an increased unit value at a time. I could swear i played one that had huge blocks from the very first turn.

Not that I recall. Hesus may correct me if I am wrong but I do not believe so.

Maybe one of the first versions but they are not around any more.

You could go into the edu and move the size limit up yourself but that's just a suggestion

Hope this is the place. Just downloaded SPQR 8. After getting past a few installation confusion. This was the best installed mod iv'e tried well ill say loaded am yet to get fully into it. First impression bloody nice piece of work. Load up and senate intro very Authentic smooth graphics am yet to get into the entire game as yet as there is so much info to go through. So hopefully ill get back and let you know how its going. Never tried spqr versions before so it will be interesting to see how it works out. Great work to the Team and developers.
