Default PF's 'Wish You Were Here'

For the last two months, I just can't stop listening to Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. There are enough beautiful songs Pink Floyd made, but this song has a special place in my hart. It reminds me of some people I miss and it's a great song for people who lost someone they loved . Does anyone else see this song as the most sensitive one ever?

“I grew up middle class, white, my parents loved me. So I might not necessarily relate to what your circumstances were. I hear them and understand them, but that’s not an excuse for you to fail. Don’t come in here and say, ‘Well, you know, that’s just kind of the way I was brought up.’ No. If you’re in a bad way right now, it’s because of the choices you made in response to your circumstances. So change your choices.” -Gene Chizik

I went through that 'phase' as well.
I bought 'Echoes: The best of Pink Floyd' a few months ago, it's amazing. A 2 disc compilation of all PF's greatest hits, its about 3 hours long! Listening to it at this very moment.

If you like PF listen to 'Comfortably Numb', 'Money', 'Time' and 'Another Brick in the Wall Part II' as well.

There is no doubt in my mind that Pink Floyd are one of the best band's ever, after Led Zeppelin of course, so that makes them 2nd best band ever.

Sorrow and High Hopes were two of my favourites from Echoes. The whole thing is amazing though, even if some of the longer more meandering tracks require a little patience. If any band earned the right to be artisticallyu self-indulgent, it's the Floyd.

I just went through an addiction to Dark Side of the Moon. I would listen to Money every day.

It definately is one of the most chill songs to just lay back in your room and relax to after a hard day. One of my Top 10 favorites along with Comfortably Numb.

    Wish You Were Here..

if you can play guitar and sing, i would suggest learning it as it is a very easy song. The solo is a bit tough, but if you practice enough you can get it. The verses are simple chords. aside from playing it, it is a very good song. Definetely one of my favorites.

love that line. Excellent song, as are most Floyd tracks.
Think im going to make the effort to go and see Roger Waters perform the whole of "Dark side of the moon" in Hyde park. I know its only him on his own, but its probably the nearest i'll ever get to seeing Floyd live
