i need help with the save game locations

notably where to find them for RSII 2.1

They're in the save folder of the play_<faction> folder. Each faction has it's own saves.

If you're playing a roman campaign, they will be in RSII/play_rome/saves.
Just have a look in the folder corresponding to your faction.

If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 and you installed the game to the 'c:\program files (x86)' folder the save games won't be in the RSII folder or any sub folders. This is why we made the recommendation to install outside of that folder in the install instructions. This folder is 'protected' by Windows.

Instead it will be in the 'appdata' or 'virtual store'. This will be something like c:\Users\"useraccount"\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly. You can run %appdata% in the 'search programs and files' box which is in the windows start menu to get the start of the path.

thanks for the help you saved me alot of time reconqouring everything with the seleucids

No problems - you rep people bty pressing one of the buttons under the avatar - it's different depending upon the skin you use for the forum (it's the one to the left of the 'report' button and to the right of the 'on-line' indicator.

It won't count until you get to 50 posts - but don't spam.......

I'm surpised that no-one else suggested what I did.......

i have this mod intalled in program files(x86) and i had no savegame problems but i moved the hole mod file to the desktop and i cant find any of my savegames both in windows and in game.i tried the path that u said but i have nothing about rtw in there.any help?
