If there were a God, I think it very unlikely that he would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt his existence. --Bertrand Russell
Makes me wonder what Sudan's leader is thinking, or if he even knows, though the latter is unlikely.
Worst part of trying to express a point is when someone says what you said better and gets praised.
I'd rather have Qaddafi's Lybia in Africa than Sudan.
Under the patronage of Emperor Maximinus Thrax
"Steps to be taken in case Russia should be forced out of war considered. Various movements [of ] troops to and from different fronts necessary to meeting possible contingencies discussed. Conference also weighed political, economic, and moral effect both upon Central and Allied powers under most unfavorable aspect from Allied point of view. General conclusions reached were necessity for adoption of purely defensive attitude on all secondary fronts and withdrawing surplus troops for duty on western front. By thus strengthening western front [those attending] believed Allies could hold until American forces arrive in numbers sufficient to gain ascendancy."
~General Pershing, report to Washington, 26 July 1917
What is this? EU3?
I think the Sudanese army is protecting the rebels.

Sudan better watch out, i am sure NATO won't mind "accidently" hitting Sudan army forces.
Here's the paragraph in the article that makes me think this is a move by Sudan to protect the rebels:
I'll greet this with cautious optimism, and hope that Sudan doesn't disappoint me. If more neighbouring African states start to protect the rebels then hopefully Gaddafi will see the absolute futility of the corner he's been backed into."The Gaddafi army was coming in and taking out the oilfields every time the rebels start pumping oil. They've dismantled the fields quite carefully so the rebels need security down there. Clearly there needs to be tribal support but the Sudanese could make it too risky for Gaddafi's intervention as well."

Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all..."we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA

Its not really the same thing. Last time i checked no large groups of people were protesting for democracy against the Rebel government. I also haven't heard of the rebel government ordering troops to gun down large numebrs of people, then ordering its airforce to bomb its own people. So sorry, its not the same.
When the rebel governemnt actually starts having tis troops gun down unamred large numbers of peopel who are only protesting for democracy, then i won't consider the rebels the legitimate government of Libya anymore.

And the rebels haven't killed innocent civilians either?
While Gadaffi has executed political rivals since he rose to power, they have not surpassed the triple digit figure. Meanwhile, prisoners have probably suffered most by being tortured. The Abu Salim maximum security prison in the 1996 riot is the most severe form of oppresion by the regime that has been publicly acknowledged but Amnesty International estimates only 1,270 prisoners were killed.
Obviously he doesn't respect every-bodies human rights, but he is better than countless other leaders. Do you really expect something better will prop up after the rebel victory?
Please provide evidence of Gadaffi using its airforce? According to Amnesty International there is no evidence of mass killing.ts not really the same thing. And does "no large groups of people were protesting for democracy against the Rebel government" not mean practically the whole of Tripoli? Look it up, up to a million protestors got in Tripoli to support Gadaffi. Meanwhile only a few thousand, mostly around 1000 have gathered to protest in Benghazi against the government. How is that comparable??

Not to my knowledge if you have some evidence that the council did or ordered it. Unlike old Q the rebels werent all that centralized at the beginning and they are still forming there fighters into a cohesive group, so I wont hold the things that happened at the beginning against them, but that does mean they should not allow things like that to keep happening as they have had sufficent time to centralize to a degree necessary to stop that sort of thing from happening.

Besides, wasn't Sudan attacked by Gaddafi in the '70s ?I doubt they'll do him any favors today.Probably just looking after their interests,or helping the rebels again out of their interest.

The Chadians inflicted a hevy defeat on Lybia. Anyway, if rebels win, France will have a friendly ally providing access to the heart of Africa via Chad.
It has the best name of any war, too: The Toyota War.
