Getting some weird stuff on my screen.

Every now and again I get some weird flashes of stuff on my monitor, sometimes like green bars or odd coloured shapes and sometimes the tv which I'm using goes to the screen where the res is changed (Sorry I don't know the name of that screen it just goes black and says the channel and what they res is in the corner) and then it goes back to normal.

Sorry I can't give much detail I've not seen this before and have no idea how to fix it.

Have you checked your cable connections? Sounds (or is that looks!) like a loose fitting.

Checked the HDMI connection on the TV and yeah it was loose, thank goodness for that I thought something in my 6 month old PC was burning out.

Also what model/serial number of "tv" are you using? Are you using an actual tv, a digital tv/monitor or a straight monitor?
