    Default Total Systems Crash

As the title suggests, I'm in the middle of battle and BOOM all connection between the monitor and computer is cut and the computer no longer responds to any commands or buttons pushed. The problem first occurred with the empire faction with the bull's head symbol, and spread since. It seems not to happen very often but we all know how inconvenient a catastrophic system failure can be.

The problem sounds like your hardware is starting to give out. Is your PC older/having other non-CoW related issues?

It is also possible that your drivers need to be updated. Gamebooster is able to detect any performance related drivers that need to be updated.

Additionally, try downloading CCleaner and use the program to clean your registry.

the computer never had a problem with medieval 2 and it's not old. The drivers are up to date and I use Advanced Systemcare 4.1 to clean out the software.

Do you clean your registry regularly? It is important that you do so, otherwise you may continue to experience these inconvenient errors/crashes. (If you haven't done so, clean your registry with CCleaner.)

Are you running multiple programs/process while playing the mod?

Also, when did you first experience the crash and how frequently does it occur?

I clean the registry every day, parallel processes are just Firefox, and some file folders, it doesn't occur often , it's very hard to put an estimate.

I guess it's just the random, occasional error. I don't think much can be done about.

How has your CoW playability been since last time you posted?

Has the error been manageable, or has it increased in frequency?

I reinstalled the mod recently a different way and I'm testing for the bug again. Before that, it hadn't increased frequency

Happened again . So this time I'm going to use the 1.4 install and patch to 1.4.4, instead of the all in one 1.4.4 install.

You could try one of the alternative 1.44 installations, such as RedDwarf's torrent or my 5-part download.

The problem may not be within CoW, but your PC hardware. This problem is unique to your system, and the error results in your PC shutting down.

Is it possible your hardware becoming faulty? Are you experiencing ANY other problems besides the error when you run CoW?

Could you explain exactly what happens when CoW crashes? Go as in-depth as possible in your description of the error.

Is there any consistency in when the error occurs, or is it totally random?

Yes, just say that you were playing a game and then you experienced the error.

While I continue my search for a crash solution (Which I may have found already), there is another problem in which I cannot run the mod through the shortcut. It immediately says "Unspecified error game will now exit" if I use the desktop shortcut, or it will say "Medival 2 suffered a fatal error and will now exit" if I use the Warhammer.bat. No loading screen, no CTD in game, I just select Call of Warhammer from the Kingdoms selection screen and the box immediately pops up. I do run the shortcut as administrator.

EUREKA! I have deduced that GPU temperature is the culprate of the crashes, so I have a temperature monitor on during play and I can make sure it doesn't reach 100 degrees Celcius... any tips on how to keep it cool?
