Apparently some revelation. Messiah among the modes of AI. Perhaps one of the developers would be willing to throw at the eye (although it probably already done) and possibly use in the CoW.

I believe they said they were working on updating their current AI system for the next update or the one after that.

CoW is being renamed by the way. They are taking out the word Warhammer.

Stupid might be a bit too harsh of a word, but its such a superficial change that really doesnt even serve a point. Im mostly just baffled, a name change is so out of left field its crazy

To be honest im not even sure what GW stands for, so I am pretty stupid about things.

I dont have a clue why, and there could be totaly valid reasons, I dont have a single clue.

But this is the internet damn it! If we didnt get up in arms about things that dont really matter and we have little to no knowledge about then where would we be in life?! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!!!!

I really do think its stupid though. Not stupid on the modders part, but more on Games Workshop themselves. Hate it when publishers are jerks about their properties. But im incredibly anarcistic/liberal/Marxist Communist/sensible so it probably runs me more the wrong way than most people

It's sad to see that Games Workshop would, as you said, require the name of the mod changed. I had relatively no interest in the Warhammer series until came across this mod, and removing the title of the series from the mod is only hurting GW in the long run.

I don't understand their reasoning, perhaps someone more fluent in nonsense could interpreit their motives for me.

Well at least there is something good out of this. If they are only demanding a name change that means that everything else in the mod is fine and doenst violate any law. I hope all haters will finally leave the mod alone and stop pointing fingers. I would suggest that the new name would be Archaon: Total War

I think that they believe that since they consider Warhammer TT a hobby, they believe that this mod will draw them away. They aren't about promotion of their game, they just want fans loyal to TT I guess.

Still, a free video-game mod promoting their franchise should be a plus. It's a free advertisement and an introductory to their tabletop game.

Besides, it's not like they're going to make their own Warhammer videogame anytime soon. GW is mainly targeting the 40k audience with their current video-games, and we aren't subtracting from those sales in the slightest.

if anything this mod made me get the warhammer 40k RTS from steam. before this mod i didnt really care about warhammer, actually i even considered lame.

Personally I am dissapointed that they are solely targeting the 40K universe. The only hobbies of theirs that interest me are LOTR SBG and Warhammer. I believe they almost abandoned LOTR, and are holding on a little bit to Warhammer. But putting all their money into 40K.

40K is really cool, ill never knock that. But currently this is the best Warhammer video game ever made. You'd think any intelligent market man would see how wonderful this mod is for making money. Free advertisement, more interest in new markets, more devoted fans, the best thing they could have done was just tell the modders to slap TM on the Warhammer and let them go on improving the product

Personally 40k is quite a monotonous boring game, I watched tons of patches and there is nothing except tons of rules. No fun at all.
