Default Medieval 2:Total War Saeculis Obscuris

Hey guys I'm almost done with this mod now! It will be a kingdoms expansion, where the map is an expanded original map. There will be all 199 possible regions, and all 31 factions. Cool textures will be added, and a lot of the kingdoms units will be there too.
    Here are the new factions:
    Norway
    Sweden
    Wales
    Ireland
    Teutonic Order
    Lithuania
    Kingdom of Jerusalem
    Principality of Antioch
    Georgia
    Bulgaria
    Aragon
Turns will take a half a year, and show as the year. My favorite places to look over is Brittian, Scandanavia, and the Middle East. Two factions that are in the original that are not here are the Aztecs (No americas) and No Timurids (Timurids are actually Mongolians).
I hope you enjoy the mod!

Each faction has a chance to come back after all their regions were taken over, sort of like a mongol invasion, except less strong. Hey guys, I will also be adding a lot of "rivers" that allow ships to go through. Here are some rivers:
the Volga (from moscow to the caspean sea)
the Rhine (from north france to germany)
the Thames river (the river that is near london)
the Severn river (the river that seperates wales and england)
    the Nile (river in egypt)
the Elbe river (the river near hamburg)
the Kura river (the river from the caspean sea to then edge of the map that is georgia)
the Danube river (the river from germany to the black sea that seperates buda and pest)
any requests or ideas will be accepted (probably)
    thanks guys!

I believe you mean the Thames (England), the Severn (England/Wales) the Elbe (Germany), the Kura (Georgia/Turkey), and the Danube (Southeastern Europe). This is certainly intriguing, though what is your planned time period for this mod? If its about the same as vanilla M2:TW (1080ish), perhaps you'd consider joining forces with my mod "The Medieval World". Both mods appear to have a similar premise. Do you have a base map yet? What sort of other modding skills do you have?

I can easily mod anything except creating 3D units, and I also haven't been able to figure out how to change the music so I guess we will have to tollerate the original music (Which isn't bad). And for the rivers, thanks I was too lazy to look them up. The time period is from 1200-1500 all turns are one-half a year. That is a 600 turn campaign, with pretty accurate event time periods (I think). I do have a campaign map up and running (still uncomplete, but still, it works), I might upload it, but right now I think it should be a surprise . And I would love to help another mod brother out. Just give me a message for what I should help out on. The point of the rivers is to make naval units much more important, and increase trade so the "kings purse" won't exist (If it's possible); because noone can make money from nothing, and even if you could, the process would take money.

I'll look into it! The Thames, Severn, Nile, and the Elbe rivers are now complete. This mod should be done in 2 weeks tops.
P.S. The Rhône is smaller than the Rhine, and it is not as deep, lond, wide, and it's flow is not as fast as the Rhine; so I am going to use the Rhine.

Hey guys, I have decided I am going to get rid of the Timurids, so that I can put in the kingdom of Bulgaria. Anway, the Timurids are just Mongolians led under Timur. Why have a faction that's only an upgrade of another faction? Just have the Timurid units act as later period units for the mongols. I intend to have some screenshots here soon, so please comment, or leave any sugestions regarding to this mod.

The Rhône is a consequent river, more than Garonne, but not more than Rhine, as you said
Actual Rhone is smaller and not "savage" as the medieval form; because many works have been made to make the Rhone more easy to sail.(for flat ships trailed by big horses/barges)

You're absolutly right man, but having both navigable would mean France would be practicaly seperated from germany (not to mention spain, and portugal) So I think i'll go with the Rhine, just because it is larger than the Rhône. Thanks for the advise tho!

I still have to add Georgia and Bulgaria, and add a few regions, and re-make the navigable rivers. After that, I will be done!

no way to join Lyon arriving from the Sea, same a galley can't past the Camargue( the estuary). I don't want sale a sailable Rhône, no worry

Only a sailable Seine would be strategically justifiable in a Darkage(900AD ~) mod.
Vikings had the best adapted fluvial "armada" ever seen in France.

Hey everyone, I have 2 more cities I can add to the game, and I wondered where there should be. Here's the map_regions:

I'm thinking of adding one in Bulgaria, and one more in Georgia.

I would say southeast of Buda/Pest (I'm assuming that's what those double cities are) and maybe one more in Germany or France? Those two are looking a little 'nilla.
