Will not let me play campaign

When I open the game, and try to play the campaign, it won't proceed to the faction select screen. It says, please select a campaign. When I close the game it says that the error is with the start date. I checked that, and it is fine.

And also after I customize the armies in a custom battle. It just goes back to the choose faction screen, but does not let me choose. Please help.

I advise you to reinstall game. I have some problem with Fourth Age: TW (FATW) (BI) and I don't know what was the source of the problem, but reinstallation helped.

Is your BI patched to 1.6, as per the instructions? If not, uninstall fatw, apply the BI 1.6 patch and then reinstall.
