28 Days Later, the movie about infectious zombies in England, is very different from the other zombie movies. It takes a different spin on the issue of zombies killing and turning humans into zombies. It shows the pleasures as well as the horrors of humans and what they do to others, and how they become paranoid. I really liked this movies and reccomend it.

Anyone else who's seen this movie, what do you think about it?

    Thanks,

A great movie. It was my first........I hesitate to say "zombie" movie, because they weren't really dead. The beginning was awesome, first of all when he guzzled all of thos damn sodas, and second of all when he entered the Church.

Those British soldiers were bastards though. He totally went Rambo on them.

Yea, he went all out Rambo!! The coolest part was when he sounded the siren and those two soldiers, the major and the other one came to check it out and he killed that one dude, and the major got away. Pretty cool.

Yea, but they were damn fine soldiers. They could've probably starved those damn zombies if the other people hadn't come.

I like it. Zombie without the blatant un-realistic-ness.

Yes, but one must remember that they are not really zomblies. They aren't dead, just infected with "rage"

Yes it was only 28 days but all the soldiers except for the sergeant thought it was a worldwide thing and not just Britain been quarantined as far as they knew it was like this forever.

If you liked this movie you could try Dog Soldiers and the Descent both are good horror movies

A very good film in my opinion. It's lost it's edge now I've seen it some 5 times now, but the first time you watch it, you can't help but be a little jumpy with it lol!

Far superior to say the remake of Dawn of the Dead. Doesn't quite beat Shaun of the Dead though (yeeeeeeeeees I know they are totally different films )

and if you live in London, or you have spent any significant time there, then you have to see it. the first half hour in the deserted streets of London are just spine tingling... there are some genuinely haunting images.

It doesn't quite add up as a whole, though... but it's a damn fine film... plus it's always good hearing people die in your own language!

This movie isn't a zombie movie. Both zombie fanatics and the director has said it isn't a zombie movie.
The 2 genres both have a apocalyptic feeling to it but zombie movies aren't the only ones with that feeling you know .
28 days later is and will always be an "outbreak" movie, people fighting against a disease or virus.
The movie fits perfectly into that genre. So stop with the whole zombie crap please and call it what it really is, an outbreak movie.

That being said, 28 days later was a average movie at best.
The idea behind the disease needed some rules like why don't the infected attack animals.
The acting was ok but the story with the soldiers felt so unbelievable.
I felt it that the fact that only one of the soldiers had any brains left to far fetched.
And the ending was so disappointing.
But the action scenes were pretty good even if they were few and the scenes of london empty was very nice.
So overall an average movie but needed more work to be good.

I liked that movie. I saw it on TV late one night weeks ago.
I like how this one makes more sense, because the people catch a virus through exchanging fluids (biting or blood contaminating), and then the infected go insane, losing all logic and becoming so aggressive.
Its the same thing as a zombie movie just without the "Im dead but somehow moving" thing.

Loved this movie, a fresh take on the whole Zombie genre which I have loved since I was a kid. I find this movie better and better everytime I watch it. Anyone heard anything about 28 weeks later?

"And I have felt the sudden blow of a nameless wind's cold breath,
And watched the grisly pilgrims go that walk the roads of Death,
And I have seen black valleys gape, abysses in the gloom,
And I have fought the deathless Ape that guards the Doors of Doom."

Shaun of the Dead is hilarious simply due to the incredible anti-climacticness of the whole film

I loved 28 Days later. Fun to watch at 3 in the morning.

Actually, its a great movie. Twists, turns, and lots of jumpy bits. Shaun/Dawn of the Dead got nothing on this.
