Man y'all are late with this.

huge budget + questionably marketable + Fox = canceled after the first season, even if it's good.

IS this a movie or a tv series? And also, from what I gather from the Trailer, in order to save modern man, they travel back in time? to bring high levels of civilization even sooner in history so we can screw up through over population a bit faster?

And, oh, If they travel back to when Dino's where still alive won't they suffer horrible disasters whent he Meteor strikes, the Siberian Traps catch fire and allmost all life goes extinct? You'd expect our scientists to know these things no?

Yeah that's a pretty big plothole, considering that the humans in 2150 sending people back never found any evidence of Cretaceous era human civilization it means that this colony must have been a failure.

Unless of course it's doing one of those "this creates a new timeline" things.

They are sending them back 85 million years, not 65 million years. If humanity hasn't figured out how to deal with an asteroid in 20 million years there's no hope for us.

Looks pretty incredible for a tv show... I think it's going to suffer from its own grandiose FX budget. No one watches Sci-fi anymore... sadly. This will bring in two million viewers or less and they'll cancel is in favor of more disgusting reality tv. Pity. I think it looks cool.

That's properly because no one makes any decent Sci-fi, but I agree with the disgusting reality tv... I hate the new generation of kids.

This is just Michael Crichtons "Jurassic Park" and H.G. Wells "The Time Machine" wrapped into one, hideous, high production valued monstrosity. We will see if it is entertaining I suppose, though I doubt it will beat out Falling Skies (the show it is attempting to compete with, I presume).

EDIT: Is there a Falling Skies thread?

Falling Skies is a cable show, this will be network. They aren't really competing unless they are on during the same time slot (which would be a bad idea since there will certainly be significant common audience between the two shows). Falling Skies could get 2 million viewers and be considered a success, this could get 5 million and be canceled.

The thing that this show is going to suffer from the most is too many chefs in the kitchen messing with things. They are still in the works of figuring out the plot lines and mythology of the show, as they shoot it!

Lost and Heroes suffered from the same issue with varying degrees of success. But either way, its never a good thing when no one can agree and keeps telling the wheelman where to steer the ship. I hope for the best and look forward to seeing what they've created.
