    Default Beta testing for 4.0

    We're very close to the beta now. The only thing we need to sort out are some reforms and perhaps the odd script here and there (we have a philosophy to restrict scripting as much as possible).

    So... who is up for beta testing? Please only apply if you don't mind doing some nitty gritty work, the beta is not for people to have early access to 4.0 (though this is a bonus for the beta testers). If there are too many applicants then we may turn some of you down, but we'll try to accommodate you as best we can. I don't think we'll be in beta for an extended period of time. So for everyone else I think you'll have the whole of summer to play it (if you're inclined to do so).

    Once I've gathered how much interest there is, I'll put together a document explaining what 4.0 is all about, the main mechanics we have in place, why we have those mechanics in place (I think this is very important), and what exactly it is that we want you beta testers to look for.

    I'll get working on those reforms later this week.

    Count me in Send me a PM if you want to include me, and we can sort out details. I've never done beta-testing of mods before, but have of other software.

    Hi, I would like to aply fot beta testing. This is the first time I post here I've been playing RTW and RTR for years, the best game and mod ever! I realy respect the work you guys put in to this, especially because its fan made and free. Thought, I never done beta testing before, I am familiar with basics RTW moding, I have done some myself, most with .txt files, for ex. changing stats of a unit or creating new units, or adding or removing characters/units/factions and outher stuff concerning text. files.

    Very much like the poster above i've not too much experience beta testing or modding, except for text files (adding/removing characters,traits,etc)
    However,i love the mod and if i could help in some small way to contribute to this great mod i would be quite sastisfied.
    JaNuZ99 wishes he could give non-horde faction an option of looting cities instead of extermination...

    I play RTR and Medieval II religiously and I would love to help beta test. I have only done minimal modding on this game though...


    I could play through several campaigns and tell you about any bugs or if one faction's AI might need a helping hand to stay in the game. Ill try to help in anyway that I can
