Faction Leader and Heir full names/Keeping the Surnames
is there a way that my Faction Leader and Heir can keep their surname? f.e. I got me John Smith who becomes an heir and thus its only Prince John, while Id love him to remain as Prince John Smith.

khatmar: There's no way for the faction leader or heir to keep their surname outright, but it is possible to give the appearance of them keeping it, by giving them a trait with an epithet. I should stress that this technique is only useful when used on a character in the ‘descr_strat’ file. You would also need to make that trait a bloodline one i.e. passed from father to son.

maybe this one will help you too...iy's not exactly what you're looking for but it might interest you as well...you could use it for titles as king / hand / bannerman /prince /lord /ser or khal /ko etc

{Bard_desc}Bard of Esgaroth is a skilled archer and the son of Girion, the last king of old Dale. Bard was able to slay the Dragon Smaug with a single arrow after a tip from the old thrush revealed an unarmoured spot on the Dragon's underside. Because of his miraculous shot he was given the epithet "the Bowman". After the rebuilding of Esgaroth, Bard became the first King of restored Dale.

Is there a way to expand this possibly, so that a pool of epithets can be used to provide surnames? For example, say the names de Normandy, de Court, FitGerald, Holland and White are each represented by an 'of blood' trait. Is there possibly a way to assign such names randomly but singularly to characters, without multiples occuring? Eg. without Bill de Normandy also having the trait 'Of de Court Blood'?

That depends on if the EDCT accepts the same conditions as EDA, if so then yes.
