Translation on other languages

Did someone from team Fourth Age: Total War (FATW) was thinking about translation on other languages yours modifications?

It's hard enough to do all the required text in English, actually. We haven't considered it, though if anyone wanted to translate the mod into any other language, when DoM is released, that would be very fine with us.

Translation doesn't require modding skills per se, all it involves is replacing text with other text. What is needed mostly is loads of patience, because there is lots of very finely crafted text in DoM (thanks to CountMRVHS).

I want to be based on the book Lord of the Rings and other books written by Tolkien and basic game R:TW - quotes and name of units or something like this things I will translated with help of a book. Description/parameters of unit I will translated with help of basic R:TW.

I started a german translation quite a while ago. I not even finished with the units, it's too much for one person alone. Making up this stuff is actually easier than translating the whole thing.

I was thinking of translating it to Dutch, but then I figured it would be horrible.


Like, really ugly. Dutch is ugly, especially when perfect games like God of War or Ratchet and Clank get translated...with Dutch voice actors. Just horrible.

Yeah I agree, I'm Dutch myself, but even if there was a Dutch translation available I wouldn't even play it, Dutch is just hideous, especially when used in games.

Dutch is not my first language anyways. My home dialect is a German dialect. From a region that happens to have been annexed by the Netherlands somewhere in the past.

I don't understand why you dislike so much your national language :/
I don't know what do you think about Polish, but I think is difficult, but in this language you can express many things in different ways.
For me it's beautiful.
