Well every other total war on this forum since RTW has a topic like this so I'll start the one for Shogun 2.

I'll start off with an easy one.

I only modified the garrisons so there are more troops in the castles.

Your only real choices are the Hattori, Oda, Takeda, and Hojo.

Well obviously the Hojo. But, shouldn't there be a picture...

Edit: Now that I can see the map. "Your only real choices are the Hattori, Oda, Takeda, and Hojo. " is a bluff. You are actually turtling away as the Hattori.

None of that map makes any sense... Hojo has lost one of its starting provinces and failed anything worthwhile. Takeda and Hattori have not done anything. And Oda's expansion make no sense from strategic point of view, since despite the number of possible vassals, its borders are too wide spread to be easily defendable.

I will, however, still go with the Oda for lack of a better choice.

The strange thing about Oda is that it has strange holes in its territory. I think that most players would cringe at the thought of skipping over provinces. Also, from what I have seen, the AI conquers territories without regard to whether or not its territory will have holes. However, Oda has 17 provinces (I think), which makes Oda, if the player, very close to Realm Divide. So that brings the possibility that those holes are actually vassals. I don't know enough about the map, but perhaps Oda vassalized the worthless territories. They could also just be clans that had alliances or simply weren't worth it. Since you have over 2500 posts and said that this is an easy one, I'm guessing you can powergame in such a way and that you are Oda.

I don't know, whether or not game tweaks are listed as mods in this game, but some of them do alter the fame (reduce it) and the RD event. Besides vassals also have an effect on your obtained fame - Last time I entered RD was due to a vassal conquering a province.

Good point. I thought that vassals didn't count much for your fame, but I admit I don't vassalize much.

I'd say Oda because of the vassals in the center, from when I usually play I hardly see the AI create vassals in the center of there land. Especially the Oda who I watched in my game steam roll and not create any vassals.

OP could be Oda, but maybe the reason this map was chosen was because it was actually AI and the ridiculous expansion would throw everyone off. I turtle a lot and 6 territories by turn 52 on M/M is plausible .

Out of 4 choices. then ODA. Takeda and Hattori both are aggresive clans, so far into the game, they only have original province only could mean they are now vessal states. Hojo has lost it starting position, a human player will never do that on M/M, especially Izu has gold and sagami has metal.
