Getting Shogun Armour

Just curious if the Shogun armour is only acquired by getting number 1 on the actual shogun ladder or becoming number 1 on the 8 regular ladders.

You get it by becoming number 1 on the Shogun ladder and your position on the shogun ladder is determined by your rank on the various ladders 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, etc.

ok so 2v2 3v3 4v4 1v1 gives you nothing when your number 1?

When I get it right, you can get 15(?) Shogun Points from each ladder if you are number one on this ladder.
So number one on all ladders = max shogun points = 120. But there is no achievement or retainer or special armor part....

Its a damn shame IMO, b/c this armor is very nice but nearly unobtainable even for devoted players

I'm not sure they do. Last time I looked I was 20 on the Shogun ladder and most of my 2v2's ect are with different people.

to be on the 2v2 ladder, you have to use the same person in order to move up. with the shogun ladder, i dont it matters, it counts wins and losses.

I'm curious, does the Shogun armor do anything or have a retainer? Or is it purely aesthetic?

Retainer +2 hit point bonus +5 morale or armour. Go in game to armour sets and you will see the shogun have and see the retainer.
