Default Strange files in my computer

Has anyone got any idea what these are/what created them? I can normally work this sort of thing out, but I have never noticed them before, despite them claiming to be two years old. I'm fairly sure the sqm ones are from live messenger so ignore them. Google wasn't any use, they all have random file extensions.

Oh sorry should have said, just in the root C drive when you go on my computer.

Meant to say as well mbam and mse found nothing wrong, so fairly sure it isn't malware related. Just strange they are but not hidden/system files. Also being in the root above the windows directory/other folders suggests they aren't doing a lot.

They are files for different languages. Did you install a program with mutlilanguage support?

I can't really answer definately as I don't know when they appeared (their created date is more than two years ago, and although I haven't noticed them recently, I think I would have done over that time). Their modified date is the same as created, and they are all 0kb which I also should have said, further suggesting they aren't doing anything. I tried searching for files modified on the same date but nothing of importance.

Thanks for the answer though, some of the extensions e.g. .uk and .us do suggest that.
