    Default Power Issue

    Hello fellas,

My problem is as follows, every time I press the power button to turn on my computer the led's on my computer flash a few times but the computer doesn't start. I usually solve this issue by simply removing the power cable to the power supply then plugging it in again. I'd switch out my power supply to see if that is the problem, only I don't have a spare one to use. From what I've said, what do you guys think the problem is? Oh, and I haven't cleaned out the interior of the computer since the day I built it lol.

    Thanks,
    Adnan

Always start at the wall: Check the plug, then check the cord, then check the power supply, then check the connections inside the computer.

There can be a lot of different issues with power problems.

Get a can of compressed air and try cleaning out the PSU. Try to restrain the fan from spinning if you can. Just a precaution. Damage done to fans by compressed air can happen but is very rare.

Also how long have you had the PSU?

depends on the make and model PSU but cheap units under stressful conditions usually die after 1.5-2years. most likely it could be either the Mobo or the PSU but at this point if pulling the cord and plugging it in allows the PSU to powerup id say its the PSU on its way out.
