    is there any way to get those 2.5mb screenies down to hosting limites( other words how do u bring them down in size)

    Use Mspaint to resave them in JPeg. Open the file, and then use save us.

    Yes, I know that MSPaint is not the best, but everyone have that, okay? (Yes, I know there are a few linux folks out here, but we are in the minority)

    Just upload it to Photoshop, it will resize the image to 512 kb or smaller.
