Firefly

I hear they are making a season 2. Does anybody know if this is true?

If they do, that would be awesome!!

How many people here have seen the Firefly series and Serenity and liked it?

Firefly is great. I didn't like Serenity as much as the TV series, simply because Firefly is better as a relatively disconnected string of awesome episodes instead of a story crammed into two hours, but more Firefly is good Firefly.

Season 2 would make me happy ... very happy ...

TBH, I got sick of the song at the beginning though... yes, kill me...

I own season 1 and Serenity.

Season 2 should start off pretty interestingly, now that the Alliance has been crippled. It will leave many good story options open. Especially now that Joss Whedon can consentrate, since Angel and Buffy is over. Thats why Firefly was cancelled, because Joss was overextended.

Sounds like an interesting series. What is it about?

Never liked the way that River chick looked ... plus, I mean, she's a freakin' psycho...

River had a weirdness to her eyes. Hard to describe, but I guess its squinting? Can't recall.

Inara's gorgeous, but kaylee is undeniably cute. Too bad shes gunning for the cold fish Doctor.

Speaking about the women, what about that fair skinned con artist chick? Real manipulative evil *****..

Firefly was really a great show. The way it was done reminded me a lot of what Frank Herbert did with dune, focus on the people more than the technology. I'm just dissapointed at what Season 2 will have to abide by, having heard what happened in the movie.

Yes, it wont be the same without Wash.

Firefly smells of poo. Cowboys in space? Give me a break. Those dumb-assed Old West dresses the women wear, and the hero's gunslinging. Jesus, it's the silliest thing ever devised.

I always thought that Sci-Fi channel would buy the series and start it up again. I dont believe Fox will do it, and if they did i wouldn't be happy as they would probably just cancle it again unless they learned from their mistakes.

Sci-Fi has been thinking of stopping Stargate SG1 for a while now since the show has been running incredibly long and then doing a movie for it to finish off the series. If they did choose to do that this season, they have been talking about it for the last 2, then i can see a return of firefly.

Oh I do hope so, we bought the Firefly series on DVD because it never came out here, I suspect a lot of people did that before Serenity came out.

Firefly -- I am a very big fan of the show, it's one of my favorite ever. It's great, I hope they make more seasons, or at least one more movie or so.

For those curious, starting with the movie would be a bad idea, but I highly recommend maybe renting the first DVD of the shows to try it out. You'll be hooked

Will there be a season 2? The reason the movie was made is to my knowledge because the TV channel producing firefly scrapped it and got such a protest storm that they saw potential in doing one movie. That they didn't reactivate the set to make another season at least sounds bad. Liked the show as well.
