How to play the game fullscreen?

For some reason when I start the game with SS, the screen is moved up a bit, which is really annoying.
I think it's meant so people can see their taskbar? Or maybe it's a bug?

How can I turn fullscreen on? I've tried disabling autoborderlessmode, found in the FAQ, but that didn't help.
Alt-enter also didn't help.
I checked the resolution in the video options and they are correct.

What do I need to change where?

Go to your medieval 2 folder ( default : C\Programm Files\Creative Assembly\Medieval II Total War).
Find the file medieval2.preference. Scroll down to video and chech if there is written "windowed=1"
If there is delete it.

Although that wasn't the problem.

But it is solved, though, in a bit of a weird way:
I moved the taskbar to the default position (to the bottom) and then SS started up properly, not shifted, and I had the whole screen back.

Apparently the whole screen was moved because I had the taskbar at the top?

The default.cfg in SS6.3 also carries the "windowed=1" parameter

Thank you very much!

Changing windowed from true to false in thát default.cfg allows me to keep my taskbar at the top without the game shifting

Awwww! stuck haha. I don't have the window=1 and also on the video is set to false, what else could it be? please help. Game looks great I just would love to be able to see everything fine. thanks.
