i have gold installed..is there an update for gold or is gold the top?

Gold is the top, though I remember something about a hotfix.

The hotfix is somewhere between 6.2 and 6.3 final. Gold is the accumulated whole version from 6.0 until 6.3 final + a few corrected bugs.

Yes. Gold is the latest and final edition of Rome Total Realism for RTW.
The next version, 7.0, will be released for BI.

Yes. That's is correct, and the best place to fine minimod for RTR 6.0 (on all version is here . Howver please read the first thread to see which version of RTR these minimods are developed. This for example to minimize the noobie question of, for instance "why my game CTD of starting a campaign' when you install a minimod base on RTR 6.2 + hotfix on top of RTR 6.0 Gold.

Note: 6.0 gold is a single mod installation. Do not need the previous RTR version. Install on top of RTW patched to 1.2 version only.

Yep. Version 6 Gold is the final version of RTR until version 7 is released. Closed since the question was answered.
