Just bought EU 3 Chronicles off of Steam for 7.50 EUR or something (:.
If anyone's interested, it contains EU and every single expansion.

My vanilla eu3 cost more then that >.>
yea, it's $7.50 for anyone buying in dollars too, the only thing that annoys me is that devine wind alone is $10, which is the only thing i don't have, too bad they didn't both go on sale....

well i would but i'm thinking that divine wind will be on sale by itself eventually, and I'm having alot of fun with just HTTT so im in no hurry (especially since i have over 100 hours logged but i'm yet to finish a campaign).
I also don't have anyone to give things to on steam.

Don't get PI games on Steam guys, they have different hash-codes and you can't play with non-Steam players.

yea and they suck at updating when new games are released. Wish i had known that before i got EU3..

yup, now the steam summer sale is here, and DW and chronicals are both 33% off. Thats not too much but oh well. It actually looks like everything is on sale for a little bit instead of last years sale which iirc was a few specific games a large % off.

Someone gifted me this on steam.
Surprised that steam + non-steam versions are non-compatible. Hopefully this will not be the case for CK2... it's a pretty archaic way of doing things.
If you have the Steam version and say wanted to play Multiplayer with a friend with a non-Steam version, there is a solution. The difference lies in the .exe, where minor changes cause it to have a different checksum. Copying over a retail/gamersgate exe over the Steam exe should result in the same checksum. Since the Steam version doesn't require Steam in any way (it's just a purchase/install mechanism) it should work fine.
Just don't ask for someone to host the exe somewhere for piracy reasons. If both you and your friend legitimatly own it however I don't see much issue in doing it.
