Default What's up with all the hacking these days?

Does anyone have an Idea who so many stuff are getting hacked lately?
Is there like a Hacking-group rampage?

    For example:

    SEGA got hacked
    TWC got Hacked
Brink get Hacked (By lulsec, Already know that)

Hacking can happen, But it just seem to happen in rapid succesion.
    Sorry for being Paranoïd, lmao

Some 19 year old student who lives about 10 minutes away from where I live got nicked the other day for hacking. He was apart of the LulzSec group not sure what he's motives where nor do really care but I love to know how he's group broke through all that security. I don't know if it's the same group that hacked Sega and Sony but he has apparently hacked into some top secret information so he's in a lot of trouble. I'm sure Sim will come along at some point and enlighten us all about the means hacker use to break through encryption.

Lulzsec have said that he was just hosting an IRC server that they used.
    Supposedly.

Lulsec did something bad allright, they hacked bethesda's data, (Primarily Brink) and uploaded that info on TPB. Just so they could stop focussing on Brink and work on Skyrim, according to their blog.

"A hacker attacked TWC a little while ago"

Thank you for the oh so specific time.

They spend like half of the message making it sound like it's your fault if a hacker uses the password that they obtained off this site to gain access to another one of your accounts. Since this is just a "casual" site you can't expect them to actually keep your password and contact info safe... Not that I blame them when sites like the CIA and PSN are being gunned down though.

Thankfully I created a wide range of very different passwords specifically to prevent password hopping accesses and wrote them all down since there is no way I could remember them all any more

I certainly miss the days when that teen angst mostly effected that persons life or that of their immediate family, and not everyone else. It is the ultimate in spineless behavior. They are not smart, and they are not impressive. Most of what they learn and know could be taught to a monkey.

Then you have the people with real talent who often lead these groups until leaving due to disillusionment. They are the ones that might actually land a job with their skills.

I took advantage of the Sony offer for identity protection. And in the future you can really see identity protection as something that is as normal as any utility bill you pay. This is only going to get worse. Monkey see, monkey do.

    ...its all Angelina's fault.

if she didn't look so hot in Hackers all those years ago, nerd's wouldn't have stepped it up a gear in order to impress... and get super hot chicks, hang out at outrageously cool underground clubs and race super bikes while watching psychedelic graphics on their laptops while 'hacking'......

    LOL
